The energy riddle

Anyone weighing solar and storage faces the same question: what size system do I need, and how much will I save?

EnergyBoom is an energy optimization company. We solve that riddle with our WattChop platform — which sizes your solar-and-battery system, then writes your battery its own algorithm and installs it on site to get the most out of the utility rates you’re actually on. When your rates change, a fresh algorithm drops — keeping your system saving every year you’re subscribed.

Markets move. Weather shifts. Your usage changes. We optimize against whatever the market gives you, and we keep doing it — so your system is always saving the most the conditions allow.

How it fits together
The one that does every verb: sizes your system, writes your algorithm, delivers it to your battery, and keeps it current — all tariff-smart, watched over by our NOC.
The company that delivers it — holds the contracts, installs the systems, and stands behind the ten-year outcome.
Your algorithm

Your battery gets its own algorithm.

Custom-written by WattChop and installed on your site controller, where it runs autonomously — following live grid, load, and solar every cycle, even if the internet drops. It answers the riddle every energy customer is trying to solve:

What size solar-and-battery system is right for me, and how much will I save?
Solar gets sized to offset a percentage of annual kWh. Batteries get sized by rule of thumb — hours of backup, or a slice of peak demand. Neither one asks when your energy is expensive. But your bill isn’t made of kilowatt-hours; it’s made of kilowatt-hours at particular times, plus demand charges set by a handful of fifteen-minute intervals. WattChop reads your building’s real load and your utility’s actual rates and sizes the system against the bill — which is a different number, and usually a better one. That gap is the whole reason we exist.
Is my system working, and how much am I saving?
Once the system is live, we keep it answered. Your algorithm dispatches autonomously at the edge, following live grid, load, and solar every cycle; Site Findings watches the hardware for faults; and Daily Receipts prove what your battery did and what it captured against your real rate — every day you’re subscribed.
Two jobs, one intelligence: the sizing that tells you what to build, and the algorithm that runs on site and keeps it saving. It's tariff-smart — and that's what makes it ours.

Got a battery? Let’s put a brain on it.

You can buy the best battery on the market and still leave most of its value unclaimed — because the value was never in the hardware. It's in the dispatch: knowing, hour by hour, when energy is cheapest to store and most expensive to pull back out.

And the rates that decide that aren't simple anymore. Time-of-use windows, demand charges, critical-peak events, real-time price curves — the structure shifts by season, by day, sometimes hour to hour. A battery running on a schedule someone set once, on install day, can't keep up. Most of them don't. They quietly underperform for twenty years and nobody notices.

That gap — between a battery that just sits there and a battery that knows when it’s optimal to run — is the entire reason WattChop writes your battery its own algorithm.

The foundation

The algorithm is smart because it knows your rates.

Optimizing a battery means knowing the true, time-of-day value of energy on your specific tariff — and that value is buried in rate structures that are dense, inconsistent between utilities, and constantly revised.

EnergyBoom maintains its own tariff database: the foundation every algorithm is written on. It’s what lets WattChop reason about the real cost and value of every hour, on your utility, in your market — and it’s what triggers a fresh algorithm when your rates change. Built to work wherever you are, not just in the handful of territories everyone else covers.

It's the part nobody sees and the part everything depends on. When the rates change, the foundation changes with them, and your optimization stays honest.

The whole lifecycle

We don't hand you a tool and wish you luck. We run the whole thing.

Plenty of companies will sell you a battery. Plenty will sell you software and leave the hard part — making it actually perform — to you. EnergyBoom couples the missing pieces together and does the part nobody else wants to own: standing behind the outcome, for the life of the system.

01
Before you build
The tools to decide right.
Tariff-smart sizing, a clear analysis report, and the numbers to take to a decision. You'll know what to install and what it saves before a dollar is spent.
02
When you build
Implementation we stand behind.
Metering and control hardware, integration, commissioning. The wiring-it-up step that goes wrong when it's left to chance — we own it, so the system you turn on matches the system we modeled.
03
For as long as you own it
Optimization that never stops.
Your algorithm dispatching autonomously at the edge, Site Findings catching faults before they become outages, and Daily Receipts proving the savings — all in a live view of everything.
A battery is a twenty-year investment in a market that won't hold still for twenty minutes. EnergyBoom's job is to keep that investment saving the most it can as the conditions around it keep changing.
Under the hood — the delivery layer
Solving the riddle is one thing; making a battery actually run the answer is another. Your algorithm lives on the WattChop site controller and drives the battery directly at the edge — the clean handoff between the optimization we write and the hardware that has to perform it. The intelligence is on site, working every second, whether or not the internet is up.

Two ways to put your algorithm to work.

The algorithm is the same either way. The only question is who delivers it to your battery — and the managed service is priced for commercial-scale systems.

Door 1 — Managed
Bring us the project — we optimize it.
Somebody else builds the battery. We make sure it earns. Your algorithm gets written for your site and installed on the site controller, Site Findings watches the hardware, Daily Receipts prove the savings, and Mission Control puts all of it in one panel. We bring the metering and the controller your algorithm needs — you don’t operate anything. $9 per kWh per year, $1,350 annual minimum. Hardware and implementation quoted for your site.
Door 2 — API
Bring your own stack — take the algorithm.
Already have hardware and your own platform? Take the Sizing, Dispatch, or Adaptive Algorithm by API and run it in your own stack — your batteries, your brand, your terms. Any project size, any sector. The optimization is ours; the delivery is yours.
The prove-it layer

Your system comes with its own Mission Control.

One panel that answers every question a stakeholder ever asks about a battery — the open dashboard, the health diagnostics, the savings, and the dispatch proof, in a single NASA-style view. It’s the project-level command center for your system, and it’s included with the Battery Management Service.

Q2

Q3
Am I saving money?
Q4

Section — Live
WattChop Live
Real-time power flow — solar, load, battery, and grid — the same tariff-smart view that shows exactly what your energy is doing, minute to minute.
Section — Findings
Site Findings
Health, fault codes, and anomalies surfaced early — timestamped to the fifteen-minute window they started in, with how long they’ve been running. Whoever maintains the system arrives knowing exactly what happened and when, instead of hunting for it.
Section — Dispatch
Dispatch & Savings
What your battery did and when — the day’s dispatch and kW captured — next to the savings it earned, today through year-to-date. Daily Receipts: the proof, in dollars.
It all runs on WattChop, the platform we built to write and deliver these algorithms at scale — and it’s watched from our network operations center, so issues get caught and chased down, not just logged. You see the panel; we’re watching the same one.

If you pay an electric bill and own a battery — or could — this is for you.

Building owners
You carry the system; we make sure it's always being run right. Often your first year of service is bundled into the purchase, and you carry it forward with us directly from there.
Developers
Run a whole portfolio of sites under one service, one relationship, one dashboard, with the same optimization standard across every address.
EPCs & installers
Hand your customer a credible, tariff-backed analysis that helps close the deal, and let us own the part that keeps it honest after you've moved on to the next project.

Everyone in that list is serving the same person: whoever pays the bill and owns the battery. That’s who your algorithm ultimately works for.

Start with the analysis. It’s specific to your site — your building, your tariff, your numbers.

We model your site against your actual utility tariff and show you what an optimized system saves — real numbers on your real rates. If it makes sense to build, we’ll build it and run it. If it doesn’t, you’ll know that too, and you’ll know why. There are two ways in.

The report shows you the prize. Your algorithm is what wins it.
